1921
A Church Is Founded
Riverside Baptist Church was established on October 13, 1921, in the Riverside area near downtown Miami.

Growing Downtown
The church remained downtown for over fifty years, experiencing significant growth through the 1960s.
Late 1960s
A Changing City
Demographic shifts in the area led to a decline in membership, prompting the congregation to consider a new home.
1974
A Move to Kendall
The congregation relocated to the suburb of Kendall, where it continues to serve today.

A New Chapter Downtown
The original building was purchased by the City of Miami and transformed into the Manuel Artime Community Center and Theater, which continues to serve the local community today.
2008
Pastor Otto Fernandez Joins
Otto Fernandez joined Riverside as Senior, Missions, & Discipleship Pastor, a role he continues to serve in today.
2021
100 Years of Riverside
Riverside Baptist Church celebrated its 100th anniversary, marking a century of ministry in Miami.
