Sermon Series

Our English Worship Service, led by Pastor Otto, meets on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in the Worship Center and on YouTube. Pastor Otto’s current sermon series is “Christian Conduct in a Corrupt Culture: A Study on the Book

of 1 Corinthians, Part 3.”

Spanish Worship

Our Spanish Worship Service, led by Pastor Guillermo Lozano, meets on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel. Their Connect Groups gather at 9:30 a.m. in the East Wing.

Lord's Supper

Sunday, February 1st, we will joyfully celebrate the Lord’s Supper during the English Worship Service. The Lord’s Supper, a sacred and unifying ritual, will be celebrated at the end of the service. Also, it’s important to remember that when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper, we also collect for our Pastor’s Discretionary Fund (PDF). This fund is a vital part of our community, supporting those who need a little help.

Baptisms

Baptisms are happening on Sunday, February 15th, at 11:00 a.m. If you’ve been considering this important step in your faith journey, please sign up in the Foyer so Pastor Otto can meet with you on Sunday, February 8th. Don’t miss this opportunity to take a meaningful next step!

Send Relief Serve Tour

Make a difference in the lives of hurting people in Miami! February 5-7, 2026, volunteers like you will care for hurting communities in Miami, Florida, by serving local churches, bivocational pastors, low-income schools, and other organizations needing assistance. Projects may include light construction, painting, landscaping, and hostingsports camps or block parties.

Projects Assigned out of RBC Hub:

By signing up, you will partner with the Florida Baptist Convention and Miami Baptist Association, and Send Relief to reach Miami-Dade for Jesus Christ. This is a meaningful chance to serve and make a real impact in our community. If interested, please sign up in the Foyer with your name, phone, email, and the project you are interested in serving for our church. Your involvement truly makes a difference and is appreciated. If you are interested in serving on one of the projects above after serving at Riverside, you must register on the Send Tour website (https://www.sendrelief.org/serve-tour/) so a background check can be performed. Once registered, you’ll receive further details about your specific project and schedule.

Widow and Widower Support Group

Join our Widow and Widower Support Group, a caring community for those navigating the journey of loss. We meet on the fourth Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. in the Volunteer Room, where you can find understanding and companionship. You don’t have to face this alone—come and connect with others who share your experience. For more details or to ask any questions, please contact Joseph Goelz at jody@riversideonline.org.

Sidewalk Sale

Our children and student ministries will host a Sidewalk Sale on Saturday, March 7th, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. (set-up starts at 8:00 a.m.), with proceeds to support their mission trips. Cost is $25 per spot (10′ x 10′). If you’re interested in supporting the children and student ministries by reserving a spot, please reach out to Nicholas Noyola or Kara Cordoba. Weekly Happenings

Connect Groups

Our Connect Groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. We offer classes for all ages, from infants to adults. If you are not currently part of a Connect Group, we encourage you to join one.

Our Coed Exercise and Fellowship Class

Our Coed Exercise and Fellowship Class meets on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Warehouse and on Fridays via Zoom at 10:00 a.m. It is an exercise program developed specifically for mature participants. It is designed to be socially stimulating while focusing on areas of recognized importance for mature participants.

Heart and Hands

Heart and Hands, our Tuesday gathering, is more than just a project. It’s an opportunity for people of all ages to come together and make a real difference. By assisting with projects that advance God’s Kingdom, we’re reaching out with heart and hands to meet the needs of others near and far. Your participation is not just appreciated; it’s vital to our mission. Join us on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m.

Men’s Ministry

The Men’s Ministry, a Tuesday night tradition in the Fellowship Hall at 7:00 p.m., is more than just a gathering. It’s a platform for engaging discussions on topics that matter to us today. From faith to family, we cover it all. For more information, contact Lannes Whitelock at 305-519-3060.

Church Prayer Meeting

Our weekly Church Prayer Meeting is on Wednesday nights at 7:00 p.m. and is a time when we come together corporately for prayer. We meet via Zoom. Call the church office for the meeting ID to join us.

College Group

Join our College Group at FIU in the Green Library on the first floor at 11040 SW 14th Street, 33174. Connect with fellow students as we study the Bible together, discovering how to apply biblical truths to enhance our everyday lives on campus. Women’s Bible Study

Our Women’s Bible Study is for women of all ages. It meets off-premises on Friday mornings from 10:00 a.m. until noon. The group studies various books of the Bible and has group discussions. Betty Rodriguez leads the study. Contact the church office for the location or additional information.

Children in Action

Our Children in Action meets on Friday nights at 7:00 p.m. in The Dock (Room 215) for children aged 5 to 5th grade. Trace it back to just the facts! The evidence is clear. The proof is all right here! Join us as we discover and explore Jesus working in our world.

Face-to-Face Bible Study

*Face-to-Face Bible Study takes place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:00p.m. in Room 204. This Bible study is open to all women and girls, regardless of age, as they come together to explore the Word of God. Sherri Beall leads the group.

Boys Discipleship Class

The *Boys Discipleship Class, designed for boys in 6th through 12th grade, takes place on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. For questions or additional information, contact Nicholas Noyola.

Miscellaneous Information

Quarterly Business Meeting

Following our worship service, we will have our Quarterly Business Meeting on Sunday, February 1st. Your presence and participation are highly valued, so we encourage all members to attend.

Pulled Pork and Cake Auction

Our Children and Student Ministries will host a Pulled Pork Lunch and Cake Auction, an excellent opportunity for us to come together and support the Children and Student Ministry Mission Projects. We invite you to join us on Sunday, February 22nd, right after our service in the Fellowship Hall.

Lunch will be provided, and tickets will be $5.00 ($2.50 for children [10 and younger]; maximum $20 per family). So we can adequately prepare, reserve your spot, and sign up in the Foyer with the number of adults and children attending. Please pay for your tickets at the door when you arrive.

Our Cake Auction will follow the lunch; please consider supporting us by attending the cake auction or by making

a baked good to donate to the auction. If you would like to donate a baked good, please get in touch with Kara Cordoba or Nicholas Noyola and drop off your item at the Fellowship Hall that morning before the event starts.

We are deeply grateful for your continued prayer and support of our Children and Student Ministries. Your contributions have made a significant difference, and we thank you for being a part of our community.

Couples Ministry Fellowship

The Couples Ministry invites you to our Valentine’s Day Celebration, themed “Blessed Be the Ties That Bind.”

This event will be catered, and the cost is $30 per couple, cash preferred, non-refundable. Tickets are available in the Foyer until Sunday, February 8th-don’t miss your chance to join us.

An Italian dinner, including your drink and dessert, will be served.

Join us on Saturday, February 14th, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall for our Valentine’s Day celebration-an evening to cherish together. Our attire for the evening is semi-formal. Free childcare is available by contacting Kara Cordoba, but please do so no later than Sunday, February 8th

President’s Day

President’s Day falls on Monday, February 16th. Public schools and our RCS will be closed, but the church will remain open.
