Men of Impact Men's Ministry

Our Men of Impact Men's Ministry (for men 18 and older) will meet on Monday, October 3rd at 7:00 PM at the Warehouse. Our program is entitled "After Fall: The Return of Men of Impact". All men are invited to join us for a time of related topic discussions, prayer, and fellowship. Light refreshments will be served.

Hispanic Heritage Celebration

Our Child Development Center invites everyone to join them for their Hispanic Heritage Celebration on Friday, October 7th at 6:00 PM in the Courtyard. Cost is $5 per person, tickets can be purchased in the CDC office. PLEASE NOTE THE HISPANIC HERITAGE CELEBRATION HAS BEEN MOVED TO OCTOBER 14TH DUE TO THE STORM.

Married Couples Potluck Fellowship

All Married and Egaged Couples are invited to join us as we "Celebrate Marriage" on Saturday, October 8th at 7:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall. We will be honoring those Riverside couples that have celebrated 50 or more years of marriage! If you are one of those couples and want to attend when you RSVP please let one of our couples know. So we can adequately prepare please RSVP your attendance by Wednesday, October 5th to Jose/Anani Miro (am3359@yahoo.com), Ruben/Ada Negron (cuca4jc@gmail.com) or Bert/Lourdes Ponce (hponce@bellsouth.net). If childcare is needed RSVP by Wednesday, October 5th to Dawn LaBello (dawn@riversideonline.org). PLEASE NOTE THE MARRIED COUPLES POTLUCK FELLOWSHIP HAS BEEN MOVED TO OCTOBER 15TH DUE TO THE STORM.

Riverside's 95th Anniversary Celebration

Riverside will celebrate their 95th Anniversary on October 13th. To commenerate the occasion we will have ONE worship service on Sunday, October 16th at 11:00 AM. (No worship service at 9:30 AM). All connect groups will meet at 9:30 AM only! No Connect Groups or childcare at 11:00 AM. (Parent's if your children get restless you can take them into the Bride/Prayer Room or 101A where you can still enjoy the service.) Following our service we will have a Potluck Picnic in the Courtyard. We want everyone to dress casually, bring a covered dish to share, and bring a blanket or chair(s) to sit on. Dishes can be dropped off at 9:30 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Church directories will also be available for those who had their picture taken. If you did not have your picture taken, directories can be purchased for $5 each, one copy per family please.

Women of Promise Potluck Breakfast

All women (18 and older) are invited to join us for "Fostering Hope in the lives of Children" Saturday, October 22nd at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall. Our speaker is Lourdes Fernandez. So we can adequately prepare, please RSVP by Wednesday, October 19th as to your attendance and the dish you will be bringing. If childcare is needed RSVP to Dawn LaBello (dawn@riversideonline.org) by October 19th.

Women of Promise Mission Project

Women of Promise will be joining the Florida Baptist Children's Home (FBCH) in their annual Diaper Drive. The goal of the FBCH is to collect 500,000 diapers for children in need by November 13th. We would like to invite you to join us in this drive. Riverside's goal is 1,000 diapers which will help children in need throughout the world. Diapers will be collected in the Foyer from October 9th through November 13th and at their October 22nd fellowship.

Flea Market (Rain or Shine)

Our Riverside Students Summer Mission Team will be sponsoring a Flea Market on Saturday, October 29th from 7:00 AM until 2:00 PM in the Parking Lot. Spots are available for $20 cash (each spot is equal to two parking spaces). Come by the church office if you would like to purchase a spot. Spots are non-refundable and must be paid for in advance.

Fall Festival

Our annual Fall Festival will be held on Monday, October 31st, from 6:30-9:00 pm. All children, 5th grade and younger along with their families, are invited to attend. There will be FREE games, face painting, fun, food, and much more! Costumes are optional, no scary ones please.

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child kicks off in October but shoeboxes will not be collected until November. Operation Christmas Child is a fantastic way to get involved in the evangelism and discipleship of children around the world. Every gift is an opportunity to share the Gospel. Many boys and girls also participate in the 12-lesson discipleship course, The Greatest Journey, where they learn how to faithfully follow Christ and share Him with others. Lord's Supper: Sunday, October 2nd. We generally celebrate the Lord's Supper the first Sunday of every month. All who believe in Jesus are invited to join us at His table.

Baptisms: Sunday, October 23rd.  If interested in being baptized on that day you will need to meet with Pastor Otto following one of our worship services on Sunday, October 9th. (Baptisms are generally held the 3rd Sunday of each month.)

Church Prayer Ministry Potluck Dinner, Wednesday, October 5th, 6:00-6:30 PM, Fellowship Hall. (This ministry invites all who would like to join them each week for prayer. The first Wednesday of each month we start our prayer time with a potluck dinner. Grab some food to share and join us as we fellowship before our prayer time.)

International Seafarers Ministry Outreach, Saturday, October 8th, 9:00 AM @ the Port of Miami (This outreach event is generally held the second Saturday of every month.)

Rebound Outreach Ministry meets the second and forth Monday of each month @ 7:00 PM in Room 204. Our October meetings are October 10th and 24th.

Stephen Ministry Supervision Meeting, Tuesday, October 18th  in Room 204. (This meeting for our Stephen Ministry Leaders is held the third Tuesday of each month.)

Spanish/Portuguese Volunteer Meeting, Saturday, October 22nd, 7:00 PM at the DeJesus Home. (This meeting is generally held the third Saturday of every month.)

Discover Riverside Class, Sunday, October 30th, 1:00 PM, Volunteer Room. (This meeting is for Church Membership. It is held once a month, usually the last Sunday of the month.)
